COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George Winter Stout is our tribute to the Russian Tsars of old. This Russian Imperial Stout is a huge beer. Everything from the body to the malt flavor and hop bitterness to its alcohol strength demands respect. Impenetratably black with a dense dark crown, this is a beer that will make even the longest of winters tolerable.

dnstone (6180) - Saarland, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2017
Poured a deep brown-black color with off-white/tan head. Roasty chocolate flavor, some mild bitter hop character, not super rich or intense by imperial stout standards but delicious. Roasty chocolate notes on the aroma. Notes: On tap at Park Lane, Hampton VA, Feb ’17

FROTHINGSLOSH (15634) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 3, 2014
From the December 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart, dark fruits, a touch of vinegar and somewhat malty. The flavor was tart, tangy and a bit sour with dark fruits, toasty malts and a metallic presence. Long finish. Full and creamy body. Disappointing.

Sample at the tap room (as Imperial Stout). Opaque brownish-black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roast malt, molasses and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.

22oz bomber via trade, sorry trading partner I forgot where I got this but thank you whoever sent this to me. Poured a medium density, slightly lighter for an Impy stout, with a smaller sized foamy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla extract, syrup, iced black coffee with just slight milk and sweetener, honey on lightly burnt toast. Yes this smells sweet and burnt at once. Full bodied with light carbonation and a coating milky mouthfeel with just a slight hint of ABV. Flavor of burnt dark chocolate, vanilla extract, burnt toast, prune and plum skins, dates, burnt raisins. Solid beer. Word of advise if this is cold the aroma is not there and the flavor is dulled, drink this one once it warms up a bit.
