| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2010 Bottle. Clear brownish copper pour with a short tan head that doesn’t last long. Very mild aroma, barely noticeable, with faint hints of spice and malt. Flavour has notes of ginger, clove, cinnamon, caramel, almond and hints of chocolate and cola. Surprisingly light bodied with low carbonation and a lingering bitter, spicy finish. Rather unusual ESA but fairly pleasant; slightly unbalanced but easy to drink. Spicy strong ale, some sweetness from malts. It’s an interesting spiced beer, well put together. Good spicy tartness on finish. Yes, it’s good. Pretty good to be honest, such a good combo of rich malts and balanced spice. Very good.
