UPDATED: APR 15, 2024 Handpull cask at the Victoria Inn, Bradwell Village, Milton Keynes. Light to mid-brown and clear with a tiny layer of off-white head. Some oak notes on the nose, sweet malt, a touch of plummy jam. Sweet taste, more fruity notes but very malt-forward. Light to medium, soft carbonation. Nice.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2024 Pours a brown colour. Taste is bitter and well balanced. Fairly standard bitter overall.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2024 Cask, 1 pint at The Greyhound, Bromley. Appearance is mid brown with an off white head. Mouthfeel is medium. Aroma of mixed malts and traditional hops. Taste matches aroma.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2023 Dark amber with a frothy off-white head a soft fruit malt aroma. Fruity and malty, some toffee sweetness and just a hint of floral bitterness

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2023 Cask at Birmingham Airport JDW. Poured a mostly clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light yeast. The flavour is light bitter and sweet, with a smooth, light, yeasty, herbal, light toffee, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2022 Fresh fruity nose. Mild malty. Slightly nutty.Tasty. Good mouthfeel, at 4.1% can have a couple. Dry tangy finish.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2022 Cask pint at the Coronation Hall, Surbiton. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma of malt and biscuit. Similar taste. Mild bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2021 8.9.20 at the Black Horse JDW in Northfield, Birmingham. Brown ale with malty aroma and malty nutty flavour.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2020 Cask at Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury Pours a slightly hazy “bitter brown” with a strong white head. Nose has nuts and malts with a hint of autumn fruits. In the mouth the texture is malty, with main taste being caramel, plus traces of honey and spices. Not much of a finish, but hwat there was was malty. Pleasant enough.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2020 Aroma : Toasty caramel & chocolate Maltiness, hint of spice with a strong grassy hop note. Taste : As aroma. Decent bittersweet balance with a dryish finish. Good session beer and above the average Ord/Best Bitter
