Commercial Description:
Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.
This version of Berserker Imperial Stout was aged in both red wine and whiskey barrels. The entire batch was brought back together before being packaged in kegs and 22-oz bottles.

Bottle trade with writerljberg. Thanks Luke! Color is jet black with a thick, beefy brown head. Nose is full of molasses, sweet tea, coffee, chocolate, and maybe some mild raisin. Flavor is huge with dark chocolate lined with malty molasses. Very lasting flavor with no dropoff in the finish. Smooth for 13%. This house makes good beer.

bottle thanks to zinister who shared it at the January RB tasting. Pours black with brown bubbles instead of head. Nose is of chocolate and roast malts. Taste is of chocolate candy and a bit medicinal. Mouthfeel is medium and dry.

Thanks to Levi for sharing this one. Unusual aroma of alcohol and beef jerky. Teriyaki in the flavor, with malt. Black beer, and even though I can smell the alcohol, there isn’t much of it in the flavor or the palate. Quite smooth.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty and light butterish. Roasted base. Sweet and dark malty flavoured. Dry and hard roasted towards coffeeish. Acidic and hard roasted finish.

(bottle shared by MatSciGuy, thanks!) Been wanting to try this one for awhile now. Pours a thick black with no head whatsoever. Aroma is pretty standard and unexpectedly low-key, with some chocolate, roasted malt, faint oak, and a lot of booze. The taste follows with some chocolate, smoke, charcoal, oak, and faint raisin. Mouthfeel is full and chewy, with chocolate pudding showing up in the finish. An alright beer, but it didn’t stand out like I would’ve expected it to.

Thanks to Brewolf for the bottle. Thick, oily black pour. Huge bourbon, roasted grain, chocolate and creamy aroma. Smooth clean bourbon, chocolate and dark fruit tastes. A really good brew.

Bottle courtesy bret27 at Woodshop 5.0. Pours black with minor dark brown corners and leaves scotch-colored legs on the glass. Aroma is big on chocolate graham crackers and charred malts with wood and vanilla from the barrel aging. Flavor is deep and roasty with super-dark chocolate, iced coffee, ash, smoke, deep dark fruits, and a smooth bourbon character. Huge body and really flavorful. An asswhipper for sure.

I was really excited for this one, but maybe the bottle I had just needed some more time. Lots of coffee, chocolate, toffee, tobacco, with a lot more heat than I’d like.
