(bottle) murky golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of straw and orvalesque bretts, quite phenolic, with lots of overripe peaches, some caramelized grain and herbal hops. flavour is mostly herbal hops and bubble gum, quite simple and very bretty, with some more light caramel and a rather bitter finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with soft but lively carbonation.

Thanks anstei! Pours hazy light golden, white head, lively carbonation. Aroma: barnyard, funk, wild notes, sweaty dog, grains, dough, lime, lemon, fruits. Taste: a bit tart, slick, lingering low-mid bitterness, but no real hop flavor, strange. A bit of bubblegum. Astringent finish.

330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Bern. Pours a misty golden yellow, small white head. Aroma presents some familiar wild bretty yeast that seems to provide much of the overall character. Mild carbonation and could do with a bit more punch, but there's plenty of soft, floral, wild funk here to keep you entertained.

January 2018 - Tasting in Hackney. Bottle shared with big thanks to Adrian Angerstein. As 'Blackwell Hopfen Fantasien Wild IPA'. Hazy orange, still, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is pineapple, fruit salad sweets and apple. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again fruit salad sweets, sugary apricot, soft bitterness. Good. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7)

18Jan2018 Wood, oak, dry, bitter citrus fruits, orange peel, bitter grain malts. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More funk, bitter, dry sweet citrus fruits, orange peel, bitter orange, marmalade, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent, complex but maybe not quite in balance. Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Tips. Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma holds peach, pale bread, a little funk, grapefruit pith. Light to medium sweet flavour with mild soapy notes, dried pale malts, hay, lemon rind, grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Grassy finish, more pithy citrus, husky pale malts. Not bad.
