Musty hoppy, but strongly hoppy with notes of saltiness ... which I guessis a mark of the Halletauer. Liking it more as it warms.

Very light malt with a grassy undertone. Crisp and dry. Just a touch of hops providing some dry fruit. Minerally. Fin (3625), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Bottle that I picked up from Sainsbury’s, Kidlington, Oxon, recently. Pours gold, clean, crisp and moderately bitter, its about where I would expect it to me and as a glugging beer whilst I cooked it did the trick. Hay and sweet malts aroma. Flavour began sweet, before some decent fruit and grassy hops and moderately bitter finish. Ok. sm89walt (549), Norwich, Norfolk, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 3, 2009 33cl bottle. Pale, clear golden yellow with an initially large white head, though this soon disappeared. Straw and grass hop aromas, some grain. Caramel malt base, some lemon with a crisp and dry grassy hop flavour. Some nice, delicate bitterness in the finish. Not as aggresively carbonated in the mouth as it looks in the glass with a thin but not watery body. floydian1 (328), FNQ, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Champagne-style 330ml bottle. A clear bright yellow lager with a fluffy lasting white head. Healthy nose of bready sweet malt with understated grassy hops and citrus elements. Initial honey malt palate is nicely balanced by the hop bitterness and soft fruity flavours. Light-medium bodied with a smooth drinkability. An excellent German-style pilsner by this London-based brewery who obviously know their stuff.
