This beer poured a dark amber color with decent white head that left decent lacing around my glass. The aroma was of of fruit and toasted malt. The flavor was the same, but there was just a bit of hop presence providing some balance. Mouthfeel was okay. This was a decent beer, nothing flashly, but definitely drinkable.

Dark amber with thin head that disappeared in seconds; no aroma to speak of; hop taste more evident than malt; medium-bodied; overall, an okay beer, but doesn’t stand out for me.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Dark brownish-orange pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and grassy hops. Taste is mostly caramel malt with some hop bitterness. Leans a bit toward being like a rich lager more than an amber ale (in my opinion, at least). Just ok.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear dark amber color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, citrus hops and a faint nutty note. Taste is caramel malts, leafy citrus hops, a bit of toasted grain and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Tasty beer.

Barley nose, a little mushroomy. Clear chestnut, no head. Thin mouthfeel. Barley and cherries with a nuttiness to it, dandelions underneath. Vanilla and walnut finish. Not a bad amber.

Beer poors light amber wiht a white head that fades quickly. Aroma has hints of malty sweetness and citrus hops. Beer hops and malt balance well for an easy drinking beer, but leaves more to be desired. Palate has average carbonation with a medium boday and a bitterness that fades quickly. Overall the beer would be a good crowd pleasure for a BBQ, but nothing I would buy a six pack of myself
