Jan 14, 2008 12 ouncer from glenville beverage. black as night. Tan head. Tastes of coffee and toffee. Palate is nice, not much carbonation is what I like. Smooth going down. Just what the style should be. Nice job.

Jan 3, 2008 Wow at first sniff I knew this brew would be a definite winner. Pours jet black with copious frothy tan head. Toasty aromas of caramel and hops- not unusually complex but to the point and delicious. The flavour is where this porter really shines. Toasty malt and well integrated hops define this rich and complex brew. A little astringent on the hop aspect- but other than that this is a true porter- and a damn good on at that.

Dec 30, 2007 pours deep rich dark with tan head. Malted coffee aroma and a hint of chocolate. A gliding taste over the tongue of earthy malted hops and chocolate flavored coffee. A very enjoyable beer.

Dec 28, 2007 bottle. pours an average black with a nice small tan head that lasts throughout. very pleasant malty and coffee aromas. flavors of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts dominate this porter. smooth over the palate with a medium body lacking carbonation... the flavors flow right over the tongue and finish with a bitter malty aftertaste. wonderful porter - get it if you can.

Dec 28, 2007 Bottle (last year sometime...). Pours dark brown, with a tan head and good lacing. Creamy chocolate aroma, flavor similar, with some coffee, and a roasty bitter finish. Very tasty.

Dec 27, 2007 12 oz bottle...very dark brown, cocoa head...milk chocolate aroma, makes me want marshmallows, oh thats because they subtly taunt me in the aroma...yummy flavors of chocolate and mocha, I can’t stoop thinking about marshmallows, for some reason.....slight bitter essences, especially on the finish....some lacing, thick for a porter (robust it is)....chalky chocolate\te finish, in a good way...body is medium and soothing, tasty brew!..

Dec 27, 2007 Bottle from Whole Foods Market, New York. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Chocolate malt aroma overlaid by some earthy sourness. Sweet chocolate taste with a darkly bitter finish. Very drinkable; behind the bitterness is a pleasant, light fruitiness.

Dec 23, 2007 Pours black with a 2 finger light cocoa head that retains a laces sheets nicely. Smells of roasted malt, molassas and bit of hop. Taste is delicious. Big malt, molassas, a hint of coffee grounds and a little hop bite at the end. Medium in the mouth with a nice tickle from carbonation. Awesome drinkability. A nice robust porter full of great flavors. Try it and enjoy
