Chesnut color, Farmhouse aroma, wood, malts, wine and balsamico. Smooth taste with a nice honeyed maltyness and a fine accent of winelike souryness. Nice carbonation, tastefull and easy drinking.

33 cl bottle. Clear deep mahogany, tan head that dissipates quickly. Fruity on the nose with some subtl oak that appears late. Medium body, lively effervescence that contributes to the tartness for a clean palate. Tart and acidic with some vinous qualities that help the balance. Enjoyable.

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours dark brown with a dense tan head. Light berry fruity aroma. Flavour is berry fruity swept in a dry roasted malt flavour. Mixed sweet and dry. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Ends with a lingering dry malt flavour and a mild berry note on top.

Bottle, 75cl (2005). Reddish brown colour with a large tan head. Strong vinous nose with notes of strawberries, cherries, toffee & wood. Thin vinous taste with slightly sour tones of red berries. Interesting (at small volumes...).

Tap at CityBeer. Pours with a brown red color and a medium head. Aromas of cherries, wood and some funkiness. Flavors of oak, wood and some sour notes. Most distinct are the cheryy notes that linger on the palate. I enjoyed this beer probably because it is not so overly sour.

Draught (Wildeman, Amsterdam)
Dark red - large tight head. Sweet and sour aroma, hint of diacetyl. Taste is a lovely combination of flavours. First a soft slightly sharp mouth taste, then creamy maltiness, heading towards sour bread pudding. A slightly fruity soft malty finish. Excellent only-mildly-sour sour brown.

Pours dark brown with little fluffy off white head. Aroma of sour fruit. Light flavor of sour fruit with some hops. More fruit than anything. Nice crisp sour flavor.
