Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fresh berry, toffee, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090803]

Aug 11, 2009 Cask@Sir John Oldcastle. Amber colour, small white creamy head. Aroma is wooden, mildly nutty with some hints of dark fruits. Flavour is caramel malts, wood, some nuttyness as well as mild earthy notes.

Aug 8, 2009 Cask @ pub Wenlock Arms, London. A clear copper colored beer, with a small light beige head. The aroma is fruity, berries and peach. It’s also sweet with a little bitter. The taste of a little caramel, moving ovet, to a little chocolate. It’s fruity, more sweet than bitter. The aftertaste is sweet with some bitter.

Sep 20, 2008 Cask at the Market Porter. Golden amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite leafy with soft earthy/flinty character. Quite herbal but without much in the way of distinctiveness. Orange marmalade and yeasty/earthy flavour. Light malts. Pretty average.
