Its a UK Bitter. Not my fave style.ESB is heaps cooler. Its in a green bottle & its pasteurised. So I wasn’t too exsited before cracking this shit open. Not that bad though.Smells dusty and stale. But tastes alright.Biscuty and caramel malt .Hoppiness is kinda spicy.Stale fruit too. Ok .Yo

500ml green bottle from First Choice. Pour is clear and golden with a medium sized dense white head providing decent lacing. Nose is malty with a soft citrus fruitiness. Flavour is moderately sweet caramel malts with a medium floral bitter hop finish of pleasant duration. Light to medium bodied with a low carbonation providing excellent sessionability. Pity it’s so expensive Down Under.

Clear golden with good off-white head which disappears quite fast. Strong pleasant aroma which I can’t quite place - it reminds me of some confectionary I think; maybe it is the combination of caramel and fruity and hoppy aromas. Medium body with an initially creamy mouthfeel which became less distinct as the beer came to room temperature or the carbonation reduced. Rich sweet malty start with some balancing tangy notes moving to a reasonably bitter finish. A rather nice beer.

Hm, my bottel had a black label. Somhow I (don’t know why) got the impression that the Ale would have some conections to the cumberland sauce. A: Golden in colour, white foam S: Malt, citrus T: Malt, citrus AT: - A average ale from the big Ale country UK! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-18-2009

50cl bottle, as shown. Yellowish amber colour, big soapy white head quickly collapses, moderate lacing. Florid aroma of oranges and malt against a hoppy background. Low carbonation, soapy mouthfeel. Lean, moderately bitter taste of hops and some malt, but not as fruity as the smell seemed to indicate. Spicy hops prevail on the palate, with a slightly sour aftertaste. Bitterness increases as the beer warms up. A typical, no-nonsense English bitter of lighter body and taste, refreshing due to the spicy notes. If you like your ale sweetish and fruity, this specimen won’t do. Ok ale, no more.

Strong flowery hops bitter aroma. Has peachy fruity notes. Quite strong fruity smell. Golden body bitter, light oily texture. Soapy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.
