Drank from the tap at Murphys Pub (R.I.P.) in Cortland, NY. Beer has an overpowering amount of punchy, lemony/spicy flavor to it that was overpowering. Should have known that a beer on sale for a dollar a pint would be this bad.

Wow... If this seriously is free of the dreaded hefe adjunct, I’m seriously impressed. First, a loud head, which doesn’t last long. This "hefe" from Magic Hat is an extremely clear-colored golden brew with moderate carbonation and an aroma you can smell (at uncapping) from feet away. A unique bitter lemon aroma (thanks to the lemongrass) with analmist lager-like quality. Flavor is lighter than a real hefe. Clean, not overly citric like a hefe. Refreshing, not as bad as I expected... They took the nastiest parts out of a hefe... And it’s still drinkable! Good job!

Pours brassy yellow with almost no head. Fairly sour on the nose. Lemon, band-aid, and some banana. Has the lemongrass flavor but not the bite. Pretty thin body but good flavor.

12 oz bottle from a Trappist glass (it was all I had clean). So I thought I had purchased a heifeweizen. Much like a lot of Magic Hat products though, this beer is not what it is advertised to be. Lemon grass does not a heifeweizen (nor a good beer) make. The color and aroma were much like your average heifeweizen, but the taste was way off. It seriously tasted of the lemon grass. It seems like they were trying to make a nice marinade for fish...but accidentally made it into a beer. I was quite disappointed! This beer actually belonged in the circus!

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours hazy dark gold with a decent white head. Strong citrus type aroma. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor goes from herby/grassy to citrus to fruit candy to bitter. Quite an effect. Finishes more herby/grassy/bitter than anything else. Rather astringent. Pretty good beer, but not a great beer.

12 oz bottle: Aroma, well, yes it does smell like lemon grass. and somewhat of a fruity bubblegum note on the backend. Appearance is a golden pour with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is nice lemon notes, somewhat sugary, grassy again, a notes of other light fruits, and a very light spice note. Palate has some really nice carbonation, and finishes with an overall clean taste. Overall, Not bad. Crisp and clean. Cheers!

bottle. poured almost hazy yellow goldish with a white head that disappeard. aroma was lemon and maybe a touch of coriander. flavor was like a wheat lemon rubberband ball with some sort of spice on the finish. body was medium with high carbonation.
