guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - SEP 20, 2003Murky, unfiltered copper color. Sweet malty aroma with a small head. Caramelized sugar taste dominated by malts and a little spice. Bit of a harsh aftertaste.
jgb9348 (10811) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - AUG 25, 2003Very cloudy amber appearance with a 1 centimetre thick tan head. Thick pour, it appears to be full-bodied. Aroma is sweet and spicey...a pretty good representation to the style and exactly what you'd expect from a bock. Equally strong in the burnt sugars (caramel, toffee) as well as the malt and spiceyness...pumpkins, cloves and nutmeg are present. Medium-bodied; Strong initial flavour of malt and spices as well as that sugar! The carbonation was at a minimum and the head has completely dissipated now (less than 2 minutes). Aftertaste a bit spicey and definately flavoured with malt. Overall, a pretty good Bock, and since I don't like the style...that is saying quite a bit! Worth a try if you can get your hands on it...and i'm really not sure how I found it! I bought my twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wines & Spirits in Washington, D.C.
argo0 (14125) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 14, 2003Cloudy copper, with virtually no head. Aroma is intensely toffee/caramel, sticky and sweet. Taste is strong toffee, sweet but thankfully not as much as aroma hinted at. Minimal carbonation.

beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 28, 2002Medium brown color, medium head. Very rich maltyness, some sweetness, toasted caramel flavors. Bock like maltyness. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is nice balance between the malt sweetness and the hop bitterness
AxeMaster221 (342) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 18, 2002Hoppy aroma, with a nice malty flavor, and a smooth finish. ................
omhper (40206) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 22, 2002Orange coloured. Malty, dry and balanced. A true German style bock!
.......
legion242 (2345) - Richardson, Texas, USA - FEB 12, 2002Light copper color; Medium-thin head but dense, thins to a glass ring stickiness. Lots of hops for a bock(?). Very strange. Crispness of the lagering but the hops dominate.
Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - FEB 7, 2002Re-rate 02/07/02: Pours a nice deep amber color, beige head and decent lace. Nose is quite floral, malt under tones. Begins malt sweet, the middle light, the finish is nicely hopped and a tad dry. Light to medium carbonation, a decent bock, not great but good.
