COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
TASTING NOTES: A non-traditional India Pale Ale with big citrusy, hop flavor and intense hop aroma. Medium-bodied with a vibrant lingering hop-bitterness that is anything but brutal. Enjoy!

8 INGREDIENTS: 2-Row, Carawheat, C15 & Rogue Farms Dare™ & Risk™ Malts; Rogue Farms Alluvial™ Hops; Free Range Coastal Water & Pacman Yeast.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Been saving this for a while, £10 a bottle! Very nice. I was expecting more hop bitterness, overall nicely balanced and easy drinking strength. Don't usually rant about hop smells as I find it pretentious but... this one (to me) smells like Rhubarb & Custard sweets. Lush. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

C’est sans doute trop "malté" à mon goût ... Un côté sans doute aussi un peu trop "compoté" dans l’expression du houblon. C’est presque un bareley très houblonné ... C’est bien mais je suis pas fan. Ni de Rogue d’ailleurs

12 oz bottle: Orangeish blonde color, grassy and citrussy hop aroma, toffee maltiness. Initial sweetness on the palate like berry-flavored candy, followed by pleasant alcohol and bitterness. Good standard IPA.

On tap at John B Pub in Coquitlam. A reddish amber beer with moderate white head. This is one those amazingly balanced beers that present big hops and big malts about equally. Nice! 3.9

Bottle. Cloudy amber pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit with a touch of caramel. Taste is odd - bitter up front, some light citrus zest but also medicinal and herbal, not much sweetness. A bit disappointed - perhaps it's the 3 months of age on this bottle, but it's just not great.

Bottle. Hazy orange amber with a decent head. Aroma is resinous, grapefruit, lychee, onion and grass. Light malty sweetness, herbs, lemon peel, guyava, grapefruit and piney notes, strong bitterness. Relatively light bodied, a bit watery, but quite drinkable. Nice.

6.3%ABV. IPA. Tapped out gold amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has some nice spicy pine-y aroma notes. Maybe even some table grape fruitiness and sweetness in the nose. There are also some pleasant ripe peach, plum aromas. I can’t help finding the spice which is more like basil but a little more aggressive and maybe Thai basil. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has toasty malt flavors with graham cracker, honey comb, multigrain toast, cracked barley bread. Hops are pine, resin, vegetal, spicy with cilantro, basil, mint. Overall, good, but given the IPAs that I’ve had, not "list worthy"

So many aromas that makes it very smooth to drink, really nice and well rounded IPA, great.

650ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’Rogue Nation Brutal India Pale Ale’, undated, no ABV details. Vibrant opaque dark orange, hazy, foamy off-white head. Looks the part. Aroma is potpourri, candied lemon, dried out air freshener. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sweet caramelly sugars, flowery, card, light milky coffee dimension, grassy finish. Everything is overpowered by the caramel vibe. It’s OK. A bottle of Boon Mariage Parfait was sat alongside this at the shop, and £3 cheaper. Sometimes ticking isn’t the answer!
