Commercial Description:
We’ve brewed up a true English style pale ale. It’s a traditional "session beer", lower in alcohol, so you can enjoy a few.

From a 330ml bottle on 9/3/2010. Has a strange, indescribable but not particularly pleasant aroma. In the mouth, it’s quite sour with a bit of a lemony finish. On the plus side it’s quite distinctive. On the minus side, it’s not a particularly nice distinctiveness. Tastes quite a bit bigger than 4.2%. Not one I’d be looking to settle into for a session.

Bottle. Pours an unclear golden with no head whatsoever. Weak malt backbone and subtle fruity hops and lemon candy. Low carbonation and bitterness.

Hop malt aroma with slight sourness. Amber colour with excellent head and lacing. Bitter hop malt flavour. Fizzy palate.

This exploded out of the bottle. Citric aroma again. Cloudy cold with a huge head which dissipates. Extraordinarilly sour taste. Another infection. A brewery which has definate quality control problems.

Ver boring appearance; dead flat head (not really any head at all), and a light copper / caramel colour. Nose is quite a turn-off with dodgy cooked fruits and a hard rusty metallic edge. More of the same to taste in a very fizzy palate. Some faint spice and pepper on the finish provides a mildly redeming feature. Quite disappointing.

Lovely smooth malty taste with a hint of hops and yeast not too far in the background. Just a lot easier drinking than the coopers I had down the road, more restrained.
