Re-rate of the new Canned version: Poured a light amber color...small white cap leaves quickly....slight ring left...heavily carbonated. Overpowering nose of raspberry scent. Peppery tongue from the over carbonation.....light aqueous body, biscuity wheat malts, substantive raspberry flavor ... tart, decent Noble hop bite, dry fast finish...clean no after taste. Much improved from the bottle version last year. Now closer in character to Amsterdam’s great framboise...,but still an ersatz fruit extract "essence" taste and still too "fizzy" with injected carbonation.

Coppery pours with a very noisy bubbly head. Weak scent, I expected something stronger. More hops then raspberry in the nose. Lots of raspberry in the mouth though. Actually quite a rush of it that fades quickly to a mellow hoppy sweetness. Rather nice actually. This goes down rather easily as well. Wishing I had picked up more then a single can to try. I think I would love this by the BBQ and Pool during the summer. Nice and refreshing. Not the most complex beer, but rather drinkable.

can. Poured clear orange-amber with a creamy head that recedes. The aroma is very sweet and candied, like a cranberry cocktail type of drink. Light prickly dry palate. Flavour is lightly tart but not beerish at all, let alone not wheat beery all at. This beer reminds me of Amsterdam Pomegranate Wheat. Smells and looks good but flavour dissapoints, but I managed to finish it.

473 mL Can. Clear deep gold / amber body with a small off-white fizzy-bubbly fast dissipating head. Intense aroma of fresh raspberries and a candy sweetness stand out above what seems to be a floral / herbal / grainy nose. Raspberries stand out in the flavor with a grainy-bitter aftertaste and a finish that reminds me of a piece of whole wheat bread dabbed with a bit of raspberry jam. The head retention is poor and the mouth feel is rather light for what could otherwise be a pretty impressive brew. Brownie points for being original in its own way.

Perfect definition of copper coloured body with a nice sized (two centimetre tall) tan head. Aroma of super strong and fragrant raspberries, a bit of wheat and a large amount of sugar. Medium to Light-bodied; Pungent and assertive metallic and off-tasting malt up front that fades to a decent raspberry finish with caramel and once again, a tiny bit of wheat/malt in the mix. Aftertaste is a foul bitter flavour with some minor raspberries and caramel too. Overall, not a great beer by any means, but not horrible and by far not the worst fruit beer I’ve had. I sampled this 473 (odd size) mL can purchased from the LCBO (Summerhill) in Toronto, Ontario on 11-October-2009, sampled back home on the American side of the border in Washington on 21-October-2009.

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours amber/light copper in colour, with thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet, with raspberry dominating. Taste, also is sweet, with milder raspberry flavour, and some wheat profile.

Clear copper appearance. Thin white lace. Wheat malt flavour with what it says on the bottle, a hint of raspberry. Very tinny texture which leaves for a tinny finish.

mild raspberry aroma with fizzy head. extremely light bodied and fruity giving it the impression of a cooler more than a beer. However, some hop and malt on the palate. a suitable alternative to summer macro brews
