Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
This fine beer is a blend of a mature old ale with a younger light beer - just as a true Porter should be. The marriage produces an extremely characterful brew which is dark in colour and complex in taste.

Bottled. Pours a translucent black/brown, with ruby highlights and a lacy light brown head. Medium mouthfeel with some light carbonation. The taste is sweet with some bittersweet chocolate, nuts, coffee and smoke. Smooth finish.

Not what I was expecting--certainly not your typical porter. Heavy malt at the sip, reminiscent of a Malta soda. Then, smooths out while chocolate, fig, and roasted coffee linger. Pours medium black with a foamier, less creamier head than most porters.

Bottle, 5.1%. The aroma starts off dusty and creamy, but also has some rough roasted barley and a little sourness. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is mild and creamy at first, gets a little sour hint to give it some edge. Creamy mouthfeel. Perhaps a little lactic in the finish. Very harmonious.

Pint bottle poured into an English pint glass. Pours black, red when held to light, with a huge brown head atop. Aroma is some cream, butterscotch, coffee, etc. The flavor is mild coffee, butterscotch, and quite watery. I suspect a little diacetyl maybe, and it’s a bit watered down.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours brown with a small off-white head and an aroma of dark malts, caramel, seawater and rye. The flavor is malty, with notes of rye-bread and some mocha. A nice porter.

Pours a dark brown red color with a nice beige head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, coffee, and dark chocoaltes. Flavors of roasted malts, light creamy chocolate, some coffee, and hints of nuts and vanilla. Light carbonation, sweet and light bitter, with a creamy feel. Kind of feels like some chocolate milkshake. Very light and easy do drink, but flavorsome and pleasant.

Bottle from the LCBO. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderatre burnt malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium balanced roasted flavor with a smooth roasted finish of moderate duration.

This porter is so easy drinking its ridiculous. Pours a light black with a surprisingly thin head. Taste is incredible. Sweet, creamy chocolate and molasses dominate and it goes down like a milkshake. Tremendous beer.
