Nice pine-forward aroma with lemongrass and caramel evident. Beautiful crystal clear copper body with hints of tangerine toward the beer’s center. Ample carbonation results in a fluffy ivory head that left rings inside the glass. Flavor is ruby red grapefruit flesh, lemon zest, and a touch of honey. Bitter finish that lingers on the palate long after the last sip. Not bad.

Mar 20, 2010 Dark amber color with a nice fluffy head. Sweet roasted malt and hoppy aroma with hint of grapefruit. Sweet very hoppy taste with citrus. Palate is great and the aftertaste is long.

Mar 17, 2010 From my notes: Bottle from Winking Lizard; pours a deep amber color with a decent off-white head; laces well. Pine and grapefruit on the nose, accentuated by floral notes. Pine, grapefruit, pepper, and caramel flavors on the tongue. Medium-full bodied. I remember liking this one.

Mar 14, 2010 bevuta al serpente pub... ottima ipa della sierra a metŕ tra la pale ale e la harvest come corpo e impiego dei malti ma la luppolatura č decisamente rinforzata rendendola abbastanza resinosa con sentori floreali pompelmo citrico leggero..... il corpo č medio e il maltato leggero l’amaro finale abbastanza lungo e marcato...

Mar 13, 2010 Deep orange pour, not much of a head. Relatively thick mouthfeel. Nice on the tongue. Taste is mainly of hops (citrus). Long bitter aftertaste. Hops don’t overwhelm which is nice. Light carbonation. I wish I could get more of an aroma except I just took a shower. Will have to rerate at another point but from what I can tell, very good beer. Would be a good beer with a variety of foo.

Mar 13, 2010 12 oz bottle - pours a deep golden color with medium sized fluffy pure white head. Aroma has herbal, slightly citrusy hops, hints of honey, lemon zest, and grains of paradise. Flavor has dry herbal hops, hint of grapefruit and honey, touch of balancing malts, with a firmly bitter finish. Overall this is a bit more firmly bitter than their pale ale, pretty decent overall.

Mar 11, 2010 Bottle from The Cave. Clear golden colour, medium white head. Aroma is quite sweet, malty, quite hoppy and fruity. Flavour is hoppy, citric, malty backbone. Medium carbonation. Quite bitter and fairly dry finish. Well drinkable.

Mar 10, 2010 bottle - clear amber beer with a dense beige head. Nice american hops aroma. Prominent Magnum aroma and flavour. Flavour has a nice bitterness which is well balanced with a good maltiness. Medium carbonation.
