huineman (1362) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 25, 2022
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2022 33 cl bottle at Gullivers, Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel bar and lounge. A golden to amber cloudy pour with a thick, hardly diminishing, fine lacing, snow-white head. Aroma is green grass, oranges, a tad of honey, some Vicks balm, iron filings, a tinge of vanilla. Low carbo, slightly sweet onset. Rather heavy and full-bodied (not a thirst quencher at all.) Great bitterness in the long-lasting finish, with renewed hints of orange.

LagerGuide122 (909) - - SEP 15, 2022
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2022 330ml bottle brewed in Belgium at 8.5%. Somewhat hazed pastel-peach with a nice size and fair duration head. Clean Belgian banana yeast with a hint of clove in the aroma. Modest+ carbonation, balanced body. Sweet, outright syrupy, with banana flavours to the fore and an emerging apricot-style fruity twang on top of a doughy malt. Faintly medicinal dryness in the finish does not dispel the cloying nature entirely, and if anything just makes things less palatable by sticking around. Some pleasant fruity pear-esque notes pick up well into the aftertaste, but at that point you're glad the beer is no longer in your mouth. Simplistic, and overdone. Just too syrupy and cloying, even if you wanted the straightforwardness. A shame, really, as the flavour profile wasn't bad per se. Unless you've a sweet tooth (and to be fair, many have), there's much better Belgian blondes at this ABV for both complexity and palatability. Unwelcome shades of Leffe.

dragnet101 (4475) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2021 330ml bottle from lowcostbeer. Murky golden-brown, finger of off-white head, nice lacing. Sweet banana-bready malts and a touch of spice. Taste is sweet banana bread, some mild spice, nice warming alcohol, a slight dryness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, fairly smooth, nice level of carbonation. It lacks a bit of complexity but its a warming enjoyable beer.
