Light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grassy and sweet, touch of apples and a little medicinal. A medium bodied pale lager. Malts are mild, touch of corn and a touch of bread. Slightly spicy hops. Tastes much better than it smells. Crisp and clean. Still kind of unimpressive and is very much an average euro-lager. Nothing really awful or bad in the taste, just sort of average and bland. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Mar 15, 2010 Pale yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of bread, hops, citrus, peach, grainy and malty. A nice flavor of hops, citrus, bread, grainy and a dry finish.

Mar 6, 2010 Baltika 3 is a very clear, pale golden lager with a big, waxy, lumpy, white head that has good retention. The aroma is funky, grassy, and corny, with notes of DMS and vegetables. It’s medium-light bodied; scratchy and papery with a sandpaper finish. One taste of this and I feel like I’m going to go live under a bridge. It’s all fusel and DMS. I think my eyebrows are falling out. If I had this at a blind tasting I wouldnt’ve guessed it was beer. Poison. This is challenging-- and not in a good way.

Feb 14, 2010 This is a pretty standard pale lager. Has a mettalic taste that is unforgiving and the water used has a unique taste. A little too light for my taste.

Feb 13, 2010 1 pt. 9 fl. oz. bottle from a mug. Pours golden yellow with a small white head, little lacing. Taste is light, but surprisingly hoppy. This is a pretty good pale lager. Only mildly sweet, and has only a small amount of the usual Baltika metallic/sweet aftertaste. I wouldn’t mind having this one again.

Feb 11, 2010 Bottle from 3 Cellars in Franklin, Wisconsin. Average yellow pour with white head. VERY sweet aroma. Some malt in the nose. Very sweet flavor of corn and rice. Some grain on the palate. Light mouth feel, but nor watery. Little malt and no hops on the swallow. Refreshing, but not complex. I paid 75 cents for a pint bottle.
