Very nice. Bottle kindly supplied by the Beer Nut. Smoke, coffee, some chewy graininess in the body. Low carbonation, goed flat. But it is easy drinking, pleasant and smooth, the very opposite of the nitro stouts.

Black with a small beige head. Light gentle chocolate aroma. Slightly sweet chocolate flavour, little roasted bitterness until the finish which is quite dry with a strong trace of coffee. Full body and gentle carbonation. Overall a very nice, quite soft and gentle dry stout.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown. Heavy roasted aroma with tones of coffee beans, espresso, green pepper, parsley, sal ammoniac and cocoa. Some strange hints of pine. Heavy roasted flavour with notes of coffee beans, espresso and salt liquorice. Light oily and round mouthfeel with a dry finish. Medium full bitter. Medium bodied. Really good.

Aroma is minimal, but this may be due to the CAMRA member sittin next to me with a huge cigar, therss unexpected hop character what i do find. Taste is a mi of coffee, overly roasted malts, however the body is weak. Not bad wee stout however, that looks beatuiful when poured.

Draught
Almost opaque black, good steady brown head. Fruity, roasted aroma. Roasted, bitterish, burnt flavors also a bit chocolaty. Finishing quickly, a bit watery. Needs more generous hopping. Quite simple stout.

(Draught@Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, 4.5% ABV) Almost black, slightly reddish color with a small, tight, beige head. Roasty, slightly sour aroma. Burned-malty, ashy flavor with faint licorice hints. Slicky, licoricey finish. Medium-bodied, quite thick, low-carbonated palate. A quite balanced and not watery stout, but not that interesting.
