Commercial Description:

[2809-20100316] 500mL bottle. Aroma is a dead ringer for old wax crayons with strong musty grass and earth notes. Slightly hazy, light brown yellow body with a big medium-lasting foamy white head. Cold liquid dusty wax flavour with a long semi-sweet cardboard finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

2010-03-16. Deep yellow body with a slight chill haze, large foamy white head. 3+ Mild aroma, lightly grassy/floral and a mild yeasty undercurrent. 6+ Flavour is similar, floral yeasty character, light grainy bite in the finish along with a slightly sharp bitterness. Doughy touches. Average palate is well carbonated. Floral notes get a bit odd as the glass goes on, light notes of vegetation. Not really to my tastes, but it is pleasant and fairly drinkable. Bottle from Marche de Saveurs, Montreal

Hazy golden with a thick white foamy head showing above average retention. Aroma is floral hops,a bit of citrus, a hint of spices and grains. Flavor is grains, floral hops, citrus and sugar with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Medium body with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite interesting for a pale lager.

500 ml bottle from Marche Jovi, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear golden with a fair white head. Aroma: Fairly fruity malts with a burnt note, some brightness, a very light funk, some bitter herbals, quite a lot of biscuit and toast. Palate: Medium body, very soft carbonation. Flav.: Lots of biscuit/toast malts, somewhat fruity, a bit burnt, some light bitter herbs; dry with some bitterness and a pleasant hoppy finish.

A bit eclectic, not bad.

nice hoppy nose, and grains. Flavor is simple, and crisp. Some nice hops in the finish. A great refreshing beer for a lazy summer afternoon.

Tap at the brewpub. Light citric nose. Pale golden, low head. Straw base. Very aromatic flowery hops. Quick finish.

Pub- Lager doré, belle mousse blanche. Malté et léger houblon. Idéale pour été.

My Bottom Line:
Fat, nearly buttery cereals appear even lazier because of the feeble carbonation, offering complacent sweetness over a delicate herbal hop finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam quickly sinks into the cloudy dark golden.
-DMS winks within; chick peas are not any lager’s friend.
-This doesn’t seem to have been conditioned (or mashed?) quite well. It is still a drinkable pint, but subtle problems lurk within.
-The mouthfeel is definitely not crisp enough for the style.

Bottle.
