Aroma is a dead ringer for old wax crayons with strong musty grass and earth notes. Slightly hazy, light brown yellow body with a big medium-lasting foamy white head. Cold liquid dusty wax flavour with a long semi-sweet cardboard finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Deep yellow body with a slight chill haze, large foamy white head. 3+ Mild aroma, lightly grassy/floral and a mild yeasty undercurrent. 6+ Flavour is similar, floral yeasty character, light grainy bite in the finish along with a slightly sharp bitterness. Doughy touches. Average palate is well carbonated. Floral notes get a bit odd as the glass goes on, light notes of vegetation. Not really to my tastes, but it is pleasant and fairly drinkable. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 14, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Fat, nearly buttery cereals appear even lazier because of the feeble carbonation, offering complacent sweetness over a delicate herbal hop finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam quickly sinks into the cloudy dark golden.
-DMS winks within; chick peas are not any lager’s friend.
-This doesn’t seem to have been conditioned (or mashed?) quite well. It is still a drinkable pint, but subtle problems lurk within.
-The mouthfeel is definitely not crisp enough for the style.
