UPDATED: DEC 30, 2020 *rating overgezet* Het is een troebel licht geel bier met een stevige schuimkraag. Het aroma is zoetig, tarwe en gist. De smaak is zoetig en wat fruitig.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2020 330ml bottle from Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn and drunk on 22/09/2009. Not as nice as the Grand Cru, but still a very well made witbier, which I’m still a fan of, irrespective of ownership.

Zeer lekker bier voor een herfst avond. Goede smaak met veel aroma, wel weinig stevige schuimkraag.

AROMA: medium clove and slight banana aroma with a wheat malt background and slightly sweet. no citric notes detected. APPEARANCE: gold color and hazy. medium white, moussy head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low slightly sweet, wheat flavor with medium-low to low notes of clave and banana. slight oxidation note (cardboard). medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with slight fluffiness. moderate carbonation. OVERALL: not quite a witbier but with good wheat characteristics.

25cl bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis, Utrecht. Appearance: murky honey color with medium white head. Aroma: overripe banana, lemon, sweet malts. Taste: medium sweetness with low bitterness. Malty finish with notes of banana and honey. Palate: light bodied, oily texture and flat carbonation.

i absolutely love this beer, the fruity wheat coriander sweet but hoppy yum... drunk when i can get it!
