Bottle from waitrose had at home. Alround rating: Minerally and malty, bit of brett like harveys but not as good, grassy and peppery hop is subtle.

bottle, pours light orange with a thin off white head. Citrus and noble hop aroma. Sweet candied light fruit with a sweet malt body. Nice, and definately a British IPA with more sweet and less bitter than the American IPA’s, and I like it better that way! Good stuff.

I have been wanting to try this one for a while. I have enjoyed their other beers a lot. I can’t explain it but there is some thing skunkilicious about these guys beers! Definitely an English IPA. This one is very bitter. I didn’t enjoy it as much though. If I want European skunk this is where I go for it! Quality skunk beer. It’s like a stinky pussy on your fingers, very pungent but not bad.

bottle, Waitrose Abergavenny. Deep amber colour with a oaky wood shine. Fluffy white head. Very intensive hop aroma. Full-bodied, bitter-sweet. Lots of malt and fruit: lemon, orange marmalade and citrus hops. Very very hoppy finish which is quite bitter.

Bottle. Clear, dark amber with a small, but mostly lasting white head. Sweet fruit, caramel and toffee notes on the nose, some bready hints. Initially sweet with some buttery tones but this soon gives way to a rather harsh and unrefined bitterness. Quite an agressive palate texture, medium body and the bitterness is quite insistent. Somewhat like Speckled Hen. Not for me.

Not a bad British IPA. I normally find them bland compared to the US versions, but this had some body and a pleasant (if not very bitter) flavor.

Very apparent English influence. Crystal clear apricot pour with a small ivory head that left quickly. All malt in both flavor and aroma with a bit of skunk and bitter finish. Not a favorite.
