Pours effervescent golden with a finger thick cream colored head. Nose is pleasant with bready malt and citrus. Same in the flavor with a bit of grassy hops. Slight bitter mid that subsides to a sweetish finish.

Sampled in a 12 oz bottle. Very malty and crisp. 9.5% alcohol percentage is high but not too noticable in the drink. Drinks really nice and packed full of nice spicing. Nice brew.

Tasting at world of beers bar tent at pirates spring training. Great taste, yeasty aroma, high alcohol volume leaves the taste of alcohol at the finish. Great brew, getting a full bottle next time.

Ok, just not my cup of tea. I just don’t like the yeasty flavor. Pours gold orange color. Smells of cough syrup for some reason (I think its the alcohol). Taste is fruity, orangey. Medium body, pretty fat. Too big onthe booze I think.

Bottle tasting at work. Thanks to Wellstone for getting this out to me! I’ve had Victory’s abbey tripple before, but it was nice to get another bottle in so I could officially rate it. A nice aroma filled with plenty of yeast character and a nice malted background. I wish the hops were a bit more prevalent, even for this beer style. Appearance is a hazy gold, minimal-medium white head... pretty standard. Wish I could rate the tast a bit higher, but it just doesn’t do it for me like some other tripels do. Lots of yeast character, sweetness that never quite evens out... again, here’s where a small finishing hop addition might have been beneficial. Palate was enjoyable. Nice creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel that lends well to the experience. Honestly, I’m nearly the exact opposite to you hop heads out there... the maltier the better. But if even I think it needs a few more (finishing) hops, I can only imagine what you hop heads think.
