| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Sampled draught at the Mondial, Montreal (May 2007). Bright amber-copper with a nice lasting bit of foam....spicy but fairly subdued earthy hops, piney and floral characteristics, little if any citric notes....dry and bitter initially on the palate, the malt comes out midpalate and sweetens you up for a strongly dry, harsh and somewhat mineralic finish....mouthfeel is solid, full, with near-perfect natural carbonation....the bitterness lasts and lasts. One of the better Quebec IPAs I’ve had to date.

Aroma is nice peppery american hops, a bit of grapefruit and mango. Taste is spicy hops with good bitter finale and decent malt backbone. Palate is average, this tasted almost exactly like dieu du ciel corne du diable to me. Good. Dickinsonbeer (4082), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2010 Tap at Mondiale 08. Pours a mostly clear amber with a good head and nice lace. Aroma is malty sweet caramel toffee molasses nutty light zesty hops citrus and lemon. Flavor is a bit more skewed to the hops- some light orange and grapefruit citrus notes, then more sweet malty tackiness- raw high beta acid and cohumulone bitterness in the end. Ok. lefossoyeur (103), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

In a blind test next to a Corne du Diable, I clearly could mix them up and since I rated it pretty high, I guess I must be coherent... Citrusy-grapefruit power-hop, with a good sweet and peppery maltiness.
