Aroma is wheaty and so is the flavour with a unique sourness. An interesting style. Marsiblursi (1691), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 30, 2007 (Bottle, thanks Gnoff!) Pours hazy yellow. The aroma brings wheat-ish and fruity tones of green apple cider and lemony citrus. A bit salty. The flavour is also quite citric along with some wheat tones and hints of malted barely. Medium sour and tart mouthfeel. Light to medium bodied. Bit lambic like. Not that complex but still rather nice and refreshing. j12601 (1689), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2010 Bottle courtesy of The Cheeseman in the Mystery Swap v4.0. Pours a hazy light orange yellow amber with a thin white head. Acetaldehyde all over this. Sour apples, apple juice, some off putting aromas, caramel sweetness. Nice crisp sour, a touch of mustard. But that decomposing apple comes back and distracts a lot. Finishes with a bit more light mustard, sourness, and more apple. Shows some promise, but the acetaldehyde just kills this. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Pours pale yellow with a fully receding white head. Aroma is sour, smells somewhat like a bad lager. It’s not offensive, but it’s also not pleasant. Tastes absolutely nothing like it smells. Quite sour and tart. Not unpleasant but also quite unusual. Finishes acidic and dry. Definately not used to anything like this. JB175 (1665), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Light color with a decent size head. Aroma is somewhat spicy with orange and lemon. Taste is a bit fruity, a bit grainy, and not very good. Ich Bin disappointed with my first B-Weisse. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2005 Updated: Jul 15, 2006Figured this deserved a re-rate. Lucky guess. Very tart/sour aroma, mostly lemon-like citrus, some hay/farmhouse mustiness in the background. Flavor hits with a quick sour kick up front, quickly fades to a farmhouse funk, slighty skunk like middle, then dissapears to nothing. Almost no aftertaste, only some sweet wheat characteristics. Very crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is a tad thin, but probably true to style, (only my second berliner). Bet the overall would improve significantly for most re-rates, just MO. 3.6 and that’s with app and palate killing the score. jerohen (1639), Bussum, Netherlands
