Commercial Description:
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

$9.99 @ City Food, marked Lot B/6/08. Pours a clear yellow orange with a buttload of tiny chunks suspended in the body and a two finger creamy off-white head, great retention. Fruity Belgian yeast up front with peach and cherry notes, some candi sugar as well. Light herbal hops in the background. The flavor continues to be pretty sweet and fruity with some alcohol showing up towards the finish, but not showing its 10% strength. There also is a peppery spice note. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 2. Full smooth body with light carbonation. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours a lovely rust orange with thin, persistent offwhite head; I got some yeast in there, so grayish floaties spot the glass, as well. The aroma is assertive spicy yeast with a tangerine and lemon quality, a hint of white raisin, and a little bit of oak. The flavor is spicy alcohol and yeast, coriander, and lemon. There’s a mild honey and raisin sweetness, but overall the beer is on the dry side, which I like. Once in a while I get a sort of tropical taste in the middle of the mouth. The finish is much like an oaky chardonnay, with a bit of remnant yeasty character. That spicy alcohol lingers into the aftertaste. Quite a good brew.

330 ml bottle thanks to sk8viking. Orange pour with huge fluffy almost white head. Aroams of sweet bread, white cupcake, vanilla, light fruit. Flavors very similar with more vanilla and citrus fruit. More sweet bread dough. Then the alcohol warming comes in strong in the finish. Very very good.

Shared by emacgee - thanks, Ethan! A very big, cloudy orange pour with a handsome frothy head. The aroma is quite quirky, seeming to toggle between an intensely nutty autumnal vibe and something sharper and more grapey. The yeast is spicy but strongly integrated, nothing too overpowering, just a good funky leavening. Strangely, I got a bit of maple on the finish. Weird and complex, I enjoyed this a lot.

Courtesy trade with Chewy. Thanks man! This beer is a perfect example of how far brewers can push the boundaries. This is a tripel but is very unique. Aroma was nice.yeast, funk and spices are strong. Pour was was a deep dirty orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was very fruity. Strong cantaloupe, melon and yeast with a thick and carbonated light fruit aftertaste. Hides alcohol wonderfully. The melon and fruit taste was a little too much for me, but shows how different beers can be made.

Foams quickly out of the bottle to produce a murky brown-orange body with a light khaki colored head. Aroma is dulled yeasty esters, caramels, dried fruit, lightly spicy. Taste is sweet, caramel, fruits, raisins, apparent alcohol, spicy yeasty estery finish.

Bottle. Pours a light orange/amber color with a small off-white with a large number of floaties. Aroma of fruit, candi sugar, spicy yeast, honey, and spices. Flavor is sweet and fruity and slightly bitter with honey, candi sugar, orange zest and mild spices with a medium body and a fairly dry finish.

Foggy orange, with a thin white head. Aroma is cottage cheese, yogurt, slightly sour, almost like older milk. Taste is slightly tart, very mettalic citrus.
