| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 24, 2010 Dark dark brown with a small beige head. Sort of sourish aroma with notes of milk, chocolate and lots of salty liqourice. Flavor is salty liqourice, light chocolate, lots of metallic notes (blood, metal etc) and some milky sourish and acidic malt off notes. Ends on a sweet and sour note with lingering liqourice. Smooth and medium bodied. Rather off and unbalanced. Ljunkan (424), Karlstad, Sweden

Aroma is a bit anonymous, but there’s roasted malt, coffee and light english hops. Flavour is pretty roasted with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and a quite nice bitterness. Mediumbodied. Quite okay beer! finol (578), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden

My guess of what Stensbogaard would deliver judged from the lable design, text and price was that their beers are marketed to some sort of posh middle class who want something stylish to put on their table that signals that they drink good stuff.
And I was right! This is a deacent beer but not made for us geeks... Svesse (2768), Hässelby, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2010 (Bottle) Very dark brown colour, almost black, with ruby hints through light. Frothy beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, dark rye bread, coffee, smoky hints of tar and ashes. Roasted, malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, liquorice, dried fruit, prunes, raisins and hints of smoke and tar. Some citrussy hops in a fairly bitter finish. More than medium body, with sweetish hints of alcohol coming through. Complex and tasty stout. Very nice. Madsnp (715), Odense C, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2010 Appearance: 4/5
Pitch black liquid with a small light brown foam that left some lacing.
Smell: 7/10
Chocolate, syrup, boiled vegetables and a hint of coffee.
Taste: 6/10
Funky cellar, chocolate, nuts, hint of coffee.
Mouthfeel: 4/5
Medium smooth, dry, medium-thick body.
Comment:
A decent stout but it feels like it lacks something. Could use some more roasted notes and coffee. Also has some odd flavours like boiled vegetables in the smell and funky cellar in the taste.
