UPDATED: FEB 19, 2021 Malty aroma. Sweet malt flavor quickly turned bitter with floral hops. Bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2019 the aroma is malty and floral with hints of grain, herbs, flowers and some spices... the taste is malty and fruity with notes of grain, flowers, grass hop and bitter citrus... the aftertaste is bitter, sweet and dry...

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2019 After two weeks of pale ale and ipa, I really enjoy this beer. Copper, with a nice head, sweet and bitter altogether.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 Ein Bier aus einem Bier-Index-Probierpaket aus der Anfangszeit. Es ist ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier aus dem Nordwesten. Angenehm malziger Körper und hinten raus ein paar hopfig-bittere Spitzen. Nicht schlecht, da es recht ausgewogen erscheint. Aber auch nichts allzu spezielles.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2018 Don't find ESB's around to much any more, have to be in the right mood for this type of beer. I liked it, but like to try others beers also so usually don't go back to one particular beer unless it is really good. Don't get me wrong this is a very drinkable beer and I enjoyed it, but not all the time.

My go-to beer. If Redhook stops brewing this and I cannot recreate it. Just shoot me. Life is over.

Nice amber orange color. Smooth and malty. Not too hoppy. Refreshing esb. Red hook knows what they're doing. A product of the mighty northwest. Where great American beer was born. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Getting harder to find ESBs as the style is far from being the latest ‘thing’. This one is very available and bargained priced at < $3 a bomber at my local BiMart. Malt predominance with a bit less hop balance than I’d like - still a fine drinker. Appearance is outstanding with rich copper topped by a pillowy head. I guess that with both Redhook and ESB’s having a flashback to the ‘90s aspect to them, I’m enjoying this brew with a plea touch of nostalgia.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2018 En rigtig god bitter øl. Fint bitterhed uden at det bliver ipa agtig. Sødmen passer fint til.
