UPDATED: JAN 3, 2019 Schaumkrone fällt zu schnell ab. Sehr frischer, würzig-fruchtiger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil bis zum Ende hin aufkommender herb-würziges Aroma. Süffig. Ein guter Vetreter in der HW-Klasse. Nun ja, es gibt halt kein schlechtes Bier von Altenmünster...Kleiner Etiketten-Gag vom spärlichen Etikett am Rande: In Österreich und in der Schweiz nennt man den Inhalt: Bier.

Bottle from Aldi, Washington. Cloudy yellow with a large white head of foam. It has a herbal fruity, lemon and vanilla flavour with hints of bubblegum on the slight tart fruity and creamy finish. Ok.

Flip-top from Aldi UK, cloudy dark-gold with a big fluffy head, classic bread and lemon nose, dry-sweet and bready with hints of banana and lemon. Excellent for the price.

Fliptop at the oldz. Warm pour in squirrel-emblazoned glass. White pepper, clove, Bazooka chew and banana aroma. Flying saucer, banana sherbet flavour speckled with peppery esters and lemon puff biscuit crumbs. Semi opaque with a sinking bloom of head. Lingers with smoky juniper burnt clove spice. Probably better chilled.

500ml swing tope: In a Blue Moon wizen glass . I’ve retired from beer rating , so this rating does’t exist and it never happened : I drank this while watching golf on TV and wishing I was @ the RBWG Coke and Hooker extravaganza as I sip this kraut bier. Nose of bubblegum , wheat , clove , banana custard . A customary Hef aroma ! Hefs always strike men as having textures and character not too dissimilar to breakfast cereal . I’d be happy to boost this @ 7:am : I might fucken do so in the future . THIS RATING NEVER happened .

Flip-top half-litre bottle from my local Aldi store some time ago: poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass at home on 5th Jan 2016. Misty, murky, dirty yellow body with a large snowy white foam head that hung around for a long time: carbonation bubble rising through the brew. Banana and vanilla mixed with yeasty and wheaty aromas: taste follows the same lines: but weaker in all four of those aforementioned esters in the nose. Seemed watery and lacking in flavour: pity it smelled and looked great.

Hazy yellow with lasting head. Light yeast and must in the aroma. Clean and fresh tasting. Light banana and yeast.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow and came in a swing top bottle. Wheaty with some fruitiness. A pleasant but not exceptional example of this style.
