Some lightly sweet and woody maltiness, and a bit of hops, but more than anything, I get quite a bit of cardboard in both the flavor and nose. Light to medium in body. Hazy, medium yellow color. The whitish head fades to a wide ring along the edge of the glass, but leaves no lace. Probably the worst Allgäuer beer, at least I hope so.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 23, 2010 Beer pours medium gold body, clear with tons of bubbles clinging to the sides of the my Michelob Celebrate glass. Head was 1" thick, dirty white but melted really quickly to a scummy existence. Aroma is yeasty, slightly dirty metal but mostly plain. Flavor has some mild malt sweetness but nothing else. Easy to drink the 500ml bottle. The sweetness seems to be spot on for a pale lager. Mouthfeel does have some consistency to it. Nice lager. Toxygen (421), Sanford, Florida, USA

Refreshing, with some encroaching tongues of malt. Slightly, dry bitter and watered finish. anders37 (5049), Malmö, Sweden

Malty and bready aroma, with some hoppy smell too. Has a thin taste, also a bit sweet and malty. Very little bitterness in the aftertaste. A easy drinking beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 2, 2005 A nice, if not amazing lager. Nice appearance, though a bit pale for my tastes. Decent mouthfeel, though it could be fuller. Slightly sweet in the flavor, and fairly crisp. Not bad...not great. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2004 Not a lager fan. Amber body was cloudy and the foamy white head lasted well. There was a sweet malt aroma with s touch of hoppiness. Thin and carbonated in the mouth. Flavor was somehat interesting with notes of sweetness and spice but, overable, a mediocre beer. Anyway, I took this as a very wheaty-looking beer with a chunky milky complexion. It’s gristy and almost yeasty in the flavors, but sweet and nice with a sugary finish. Schoen.
