UPDATED: JAN 15, 2019 @Thun Craft Beer Festival - quite clear ruby-brown beer under a huge creamy beige foam left; nice lace; spicy aroma where thym dominates, notes of earth and mocha, sage; clean palate, moderate carbonation and body; earthy, fruity and spicy finish with more molasses and sage, light sharpness - very nice
From tap at Craft Beer Festival Thun 2018. Dark bown color with a stable, creamy beige head. Intensely herbal aroma of thyme, sage and peppermint with some roasted malt in the background. Medium body with a light sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is malty - roasted malt, chocolate, burnt wood - and again full of herbal notes - thyme and peppermint. Finishes still herbal and hoppy, bitter. Very well balanced. The intense herbal flavors in combination with the roasted malt reminds me of a chocolate dessert with herbs. Nice!
