Commercial Description:

Bottle from 1FastSTi. Hazy apricot color. Malty banana aroma. The taste was malty and smooth with nice refreshing banana flavors throughout. Slightly fizzy carbonation and finish. Refreshing never the less.

Bottled@Monks Café Sveavägen, Stockholm. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is some banana, fruits, mild spices as well as some slight sourness. Flavour is sour bananajuice with some slight rpicyness. Strange brew, but rather original as well.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm. Muddy amber, no head. Dusty glue aroma. Sweet, yet tart, fruity with lemon, perfume and banana juice. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel, low bitterness. Well... different...

Pours murky orange/amber with a thin white head. Aroma is rum, apple, honey, cider, overly sweet and acidic. I love sour beers but taste is brutally funky sour, and not in a good way more like a holy shit something is wrong way. Unpleasent finish, maybe infected maybe just weird.

Pours a light golden/orange with white head. Aroma of is rank. Like a spiced rum/vodka/banana colada cluster fuck. Taste is boozy, sour, plastic, a hint of banana. Awful.

Sampled with curly at scottyp’s condo. my...dear...god. What the fuck did someone pour in my glass?!?!?!?!? This is aristocrat vodka mixed with pina coloda syrup. Aroma is bad, but can’t even prepare you for the sour acidic nail polish flavor. The appearance is just about the only redeemable quality - clear dark orange with ring of light tan head. Dreadful impostor of a beer.

Bottle poured in flute as suggested. Pale golden orange color with head that sprints to disappear. Some faint rising bubbles. Nose is banana schnapps, (fluoride from the dentist, maybe?). Clearly not much carbonation as is evident by the first sip. Lots of sweetened artificial banana flavor. There is an unforgetable scent/flavor of having your teeth cleaned at the dentist, and that component itself is hard for me to get past. Not a typical beer, but refreshing none the less. I would recommend it as cold as possible and share it with someone, or a few friends...it will take 4 more pours to empty the bottle with the flute I’m using, and I’m not sure I’ll make it. I think I just had my mouth cleaned with banana fluoride, weird. Bottom line, if I was in the African Sahara right now, I would probably be rejoicing to stumble upon something like this.

16oz bottle. Before I’ve even sipped this one, I give credit to Sprecher for stylistic creativity. Hardcore rum aroma. Different to say the least. Boozy, tastes like a mix drink made with some rail liquor. Sweet and intense, with some alcohol laced fruity pungency. Not many beer qualities at all. No room for hop or grain subtleties, this is pretty much toilet booze. I’d still give an authentic Mbege a shot, but there is no way I’ll ever drink this "product " again.

Bottle, courtesy sebletitje. Very funny, Seabass. Light copper pour, no head or lacing. Nose is of burnt hair and plastic. Some banana and some heat. Sticky melting plastic flavors, dry banana and some gross phenol. Full-bodied, and horrifying. Managed to chug this down.
