FROTHINGSLOSH (15634) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 19, 2023UPDATED: DEC 19, 2023 Orange caramel color with a large foamy white head that left excellent lacing. Strong orange and pine. Long finish. Medium body.
mcberko (41820) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 8, 2022UPDATED: NOV 8, 2022 On tap at North End, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet caramel malt and resinous hops in a way that makes it seem like the malt eclipses the hops. Flavour is not terrible, with resinous hops, some earthy notes, a bit of sweatiness, and a big caramel bready malt base. Earthy, sweaty hop character that just isn’t all that nice. Not terrible but not pleasing.
kassner (2500) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2018Clear light amber beer, little head, slight fragrance, not great but not bad. Some citrus but could use more aromatics.
DrSilverworm (11383) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2014Taster on tap at the brewpub. Served from a small plastic cup. Orange sort of color. Good creamy off-white head. Leaves good, thicker full lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Caramel malt, nice spicy resiny hop. Some pine. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Moderate sweet. Solid IPA. Big malt to it, though.
JK (7296) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - JAN 29, 2014From BVery’s growler, thanks for sharing. Some floral and herbal aromas, which is the best thing about this beer. Flavor is all over the place and no flavor particularly comes through. It is bitter but lacks hop flavor.
Bacterial (3140) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JAN 18, 2014Pour from a growler - thanks Brian!! Nose is fruity and maybe a touch stale. Flavor is muddy, not very hoppy, lots of bitterness in the finish. Just blah.
BVery (13631) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 18, 2014Growler. Slightly cloudy orange pour with not much of a head. Kind of a stale hop nose but the taste is slightly better - slightly fruity. Okay.
jlogue3454 (1) - - JAN 7, 2014 does not count Beer has very little to no aroma, appears bright amber/copper in the glass, taste leaves something to be desired and bitterness level is more along the lines of a pale ale than an IPA. Nice malty character, but too much body and malt sweetness for the style.
weihenweizen (6990) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - JAN 5, 20144 oz. draft sample at B&D gastropub. Pours slightly hazy golden with medium bright white head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and medium small bubble lacing. Taste is herbal hops with strong malt backbone.
