With that in mind I did not have huge expectations for this beer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden-caramel color with a large yellow-tan head. The aroma is strong fruity and piney hops with a light peppery undertone. The mouthfeel was rather thick. The flavor was strong grapefruity, piney and floral hops with a sweet syrupy malt base. Very quaffable for an IIPA. Probably the best beer I have had yet from this brewer and one I will definitely have again.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2010 Certainly not the best IPA that I have ever had. The smell and taste is full of hops... the palate pales in comparison to most other IPAs. italarican (237), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2010 Pours a pale amber with only a bit of fizzy eggshell head. Aroma is pine hops, perfume, and caramel. Flavor is mainly bitter of hops, grass, and a touch of malt for sweetness. Average lingering bitterness of an IPA. This is average in many ways. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 17, 2010 Transparent orange-amber color, thin white head. Messy nose of grainy toast, alcohol, light citrus. Flavor is similarly malty, more barleywine than IIPA, some alcohol and cardboard. Rather bland, particularly unrefined, and simple at that. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2010 Clear light brown to amber in color. There’s a light malt presence to go along with the hops. Nice playfullness between the two. OK. Just a good beer. Not really good.
