Commercial Description:
Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

Holy head, Batman! This beer pours a cloudy golden colour with an INSANE head. It was resting for quite some time but had traveled a lot prior to opening it. When I uncapped it I had a rising flow of foam that spilled onto the floor and refused to pour nicely for the next 15 minutes. Wow. Aroma is spicy and full of character. Taste is very, very spicy - strong and malty and creamy with lots of peppery hops in the warming finish with a light alcohol note. Body is creamy and chewy, great carbonation, what a treat!!! Many thanks to Boutip for the trade!

When I was down in Diksmuide 6 month ago Mr Dolles wife served this arabier on tap and i was blased away. It was for sure the best beer from tap I’ve ever had - It was sooo fresh and crispy and maybe the surroundings did something to the impression as well - What ever it was I ended up buying a box of Arabier to take back home. Well that box is now almost finished and non of the bottles have been close to the experience at De Dolle - but this is still a damn good beer. But ending up the box it is about time to rate this parrot thing. WARNING: as always with De Dolle you have to keep a glass close cause this beer is leaving the bottle instantly... if you leave the bottle half full you need to watch the bottle...cause the stuff is working its way up... I have had my keyboard flooded before. Thje Pour is light golden with a pale hazyness. The head is fluffy and huge. The nose is packed with different tropical and citric notes. Banana, oranges some grassy hops and sulfo. The taste is fesh awith a sparkling mouthfell and light palate. I wouldn’t have guessed that this beer holds 8% alc.. Its so easy to drink. The hops tops the picture, and it still seems fresh. There is some bret-like and citric notes and a long bittersweet finish with a biting alcohol touch.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden coloured with a nice big lacing and lasting egg white head. Aromas of grassy hops, apples, yeast, pepper and honey. Fruity flavour with notes of yeast, hay, grassy hops, passion fruit and spice. Very D.D.B. - very tasty!

Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with thick off-white head that lingered well and left good lacing. Nose is hoppy fruit, floral essence and spice, with a mouthfeel that is biting and a little bitter. Taste is mostly hoppy fruit with a hint of spice, leading to a finish that is long and smooth, though the 8% alcohol snuck in, more than making itself known all along.

Serving: 330 ml. bottle from Sperryville Corner Store. It pours a nice amber-gold color with a huge, merangue like, white head. The head lasts forever and you are left with very nice lacing down the entire glass. The nose is yeasty with lots of floral notes and bitter citrus peel. The taste is spicy with notes of perfume, soap, and florals with a lingering back bitterness. Very light on the tongue with medium-high carbonation. Overall I found it enjoyable but not quite as amazing as others have. I am not sure how old this bottle is so it may be suffering from a slight bit of oxidation. Definitely worth a retaste and still recommended.

33cl bottle. Hazy blond color, lots of carbonization and a big white rocky head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is very hoppy with some floral touches, malt and spices. Taste is malty with again a nice hop taste and a nice dry bitterness that stays for some time. Mouthfeel and carbonization are good and the drinkability is very good. Overall a nice brew.
