This beer looks like a Belgian Wit. Golden-hazy with a bright white head. Almost green in color it is so white gold. The first thing you will notice about this beer is the strong sulfurs produced by the lager yeast used. I’m thinking that this is labelled an "ale" due to the dumbass Texas beer marketing laws requiring lager-labeled bottles to be low alcohol, but if I’m wrong, send me an e-mail and I’ll correct my rating to say that it is an infected beer! Anyway, this should be named Cardboard, not Springboard, because that better describes the flavor. It produces a pretty white lacing and has a tingly mild bitter finish that works.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2009 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass which I had to warm by hand, stupid iced glasses. The color was bright white-yellow and reminded me of their wit beer, hazy. It had a funky, yeasty smell to it. The flavor was odd, herbs, no oakiness which is not surprising given that only 2% was oak-aged. Interesting beer and easy to drink but I think one serving is enough.

Lasting fine white lace and head. Subdued aroma. Light body but moderate mouthfeel from mellow spiciness on the front of the tongue Reasonable flavor combination for a refreshing summer brew.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Bottle pours a lightly cloudy golden with a smaller white head. Aroma of a unique spice mix (although light), citrus and light woody notes with some cereal grains. Really light in aroma, it was a struggle to get what all that. Flavor was a bit herbal, citrus, soapy, bready and a dry finish.
