Not much flavour but what there is is totally dominated by caramel. Faint bitterness in the finish but it’s not really enough to save it. harrisoni (7113), Ashford, Kent, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Yellow to reddish head, fast gone over near-black beer. Roasted stout nose, very roasted but too light to be real coffee-ish. Sweet stout (not dry!), roasted grains, with a good tad of molasses. Well-bodied, if not really heavy; very long, sweet aftertaste. Misses cruelly some hops, the roasted bitterness being too lopsided - humulus lupulus too expensive in IR? yespr (13359), Copenhagen O, Denmark
