Pours a clear copper with a large long lasting off-white head that lasts leaving good lacing. Aroma of pears, citrus, and yeast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and tingly carbonation. Very well hidden alcohol. Very good.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2010 Aroma is quite faint, slightly fruity and floral. Looks great, hazy orangy coppery colour, not much head but truly great lacing. Great malt flavour that isn’t too overpowering but it is quite close; the sweetness of the 10% was balance nicely so as not to have too much sugar left over. Very smooth and creamy, the amazing lacing continues as you swallow it. A warm alcohol taste afterwards. Quite easy, especially since it’s 10%. I will have to get some more of these from the wine cellars basemet stock before it’s all gone. Cole (387), , Alberta, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 16, 2010 Pours deep redish amber with a nice thick head low retention. Aroma is very nice. Rich and yeasty it smells like a Unibroue. Flavour is greatBig and malty with a strong bready flavour. Lots of dark fruits on the palate and a bit of a strong alcohol flavour in the finish. THis is one hell of a brew. I am glad I had a chance to try it. piscator34 (1165), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Bottled sample. Pale copper in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of peppery yeast, pale malts, banana, and lemon rind. Surprisingly malt forward in the mouth (for a Unibroue product), along with more spicy yeast, sourish red berries, kitchen spices, and a hint of plastic and must. Medium bodied and clean finishing. Very easy drinkng for 10% alcohol. JulienHuxley (325), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Sweet aroma, I get maple syrup, nuts and dried fruits, age is also definately present in the malt profile. Rather sweet taste, still quite present alcohol in the finish. Very well preserved, too bad this was our last. hillfiiiiire (299), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2010 Poured half for myself after using part in my Beef Carbonnade. Really has that Unibroue yeast character, and a lot of it. Hazy orange-brown pour with a 2 finger head that settles quickly and leaves no lace. Candi sugar, yeasty, with a good bit of carbonation. rocbyter (986), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
