thewolf (13752) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2015Bottle. Pours deep opaque black with a medium, frothy, fizzy off-white head. Aroma has lots of red wine, tannins, vanilla, chocolate, cherries. Highish carbonation, fine dry and kinda light mouthfeel. Flavour has initial malty sweetness, chocolate, roasted, lots of red wine, vanilla. Kinda short finish.

cubs (10773) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 22, 2013Bottle in Chicago with TheAlum. Thanks Adam! Pours a dark brown appearance with a spritzy, big brown head. Big red vinous, very funky, grape, light plum, tangy, very intriguing aroma. Somewhat roasty, mild peaty smoky, dry vinous, light berry, funky, complex, fun flavor. Enjoyed this better than the rum version.
vvesside (256) - California, USA - JUN 2, 2013Bottle shared with timfoolery. Smoky porter with notes of white wine and soy. Good beer.
timfoolery (1126) - California, USA - JUN 1, 2013Bottle from a trade for three of the variations. Aroma is clearly smoky porter and some wine barrel. Wine comes out more in the flavor and quite literally resembles smoked fish from a can. Well done, but odd beer.

cbfobes (2938) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2013Bottle shared at a local tasting, thanks Levi! Pours a dark brown head with a light brown head, the aroma has quite a bit of smoked malt with a touch of chocolate, the flavor is really sweet with a little bit of smoke in the finish, it mixes well together though, kind of different but I really enjoyed this, couldn’t finish an entire bottle myself, but not bad.
UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - APR 6, 2013Batch 2 bottle from puddintane. Word G. Pours dark amber. Lots of smoke and roast. Slight oak and warming red wine. Still in great shape.
brystmar (1314) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 3, 20132010 with the carbonation warning sticker. Gushes like a motherfucker, eventually allowing the fury inside to be poured.
Black body sports a smokey, funky aroma. This is basically a sour porter: yeast imparts tartness to push against the roasted malts. Unique and quite tasty. Thanks Denise!
johnnnniee (7173) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 9, 2012Bottle from Batch 2 thanks Mcallister.
Good thing I was near the sink when I opened this. Huge rush of foam from a self pouring bottle, I filled my glass and then the bottle she kept on giving. The color is a porter all right, but the rest is lambic like. Smells of tart fruit and a bit of funk. The flavor is very funky and tart. The Porter is gone and I can’t even say I like the lambic that it left behind. Another casualty from my cellar.
