Nice amber coloured body with a mainly lasting light tan head. Some caramel on the aroma followed by some moderate hop notes. Light earthy hop taste , medium body and low carbonation. Not too much malt characters showing but a fairly easy drinking beer.

500ml bottle bought at Systembolaget, Kiruna. Copper-brown body topped by a decent off-white head with lots of small dimples. Toasty malts and hints of floral hops to the nose. Malty character in flavour with caramel added by a touch of dried apricot. Smooth bitter ending. Medium bodied. So and so (Tromsø, 03.02.2010).

500ml bottle (Viking Line Hel-Sto) - shared with Alfa - thanks!
Reddy brown, healthy tight doughy head. Crisp carbonation. Rich woody and nutty aroma. Slightly sour tang highlighted by the cold. Pleasnat woodiness in the mouth. Some fruity ester retronasals. Lovely nutty and mushroomy taste. A bit emasculated, I’m sure this is brewed stronger and watered down. Finish pleasnatly nutty and mushroomy. Not as good as I remember it, it used to be a stonker, but still very pleasant.

(Bottled one as Founders English Ale) Poured amber and clear with medium sized, white and dense head. Aroma contained malts and strawberry. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, hint of roastedness, bitterness and acridity. Acrid aftertaste. Quite bad one.

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acrid caramel - toffee bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091001]
