Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Excellent twist on a very traditional style. Beer pours dark brown, not quite black, with a reddish tinge. It develops a nice off white head that mostly diminshes. There is tons of lacing as you consume this porter. The aroma is different. Along with the expected coffee, roasted nuts there are hops. Are you supposed to be able do smell hops in a porter? Take a drink and the answer becomes a resounding YES! Along with delicious roasted malt, and coffee, there is a delightful hop kick to keep things interesting. The 6.7% ABV is competely hidden. One could easily throw down six of these and never notice the alcohol, not in the act of drinking, anyway. Very unique, very delicious and my new favorite porter.

Dark red/brown color with a small quickly disappering beige head. Aroma: Very rich aroma of liquorice, chocolate, raisin, soy sauce and a little alc. Taste: roasted malt, hops is present but not too dominating, chocolate, liquorice and coffe too. Low carbonation. I really like it.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. The aroma is mild to moderate roasted malt, chocolate, and some citrus hop notes. The flavor is mildly roasted malts, chocolate, and some citrus notes. The finish has some bitterness to it and highlights the dry hopping. I think it is an interesting idea, but doesn’t completely work for me and what I like in a porter.

At first there wasn’t much to it and i was disappointed. The aroma was very faint with only a slight hoppiness. I let it sit for a few minutes to warm up, took another wiff and again, just a few faint hops and now some sweet malts. First sip and then Bam! its bursting with hops, caramel, toffee, and roasted malts and out sneaks a bouquet of aromas from left field. Very dry and bitter on the finish yet deep down in the back of your throat is a nice sweet maltiness. Another sniff and I smell chocolate licorice. Damn this is good. Be careful at 6.7% ABV.

bottle... pours a deep brown with a 1 finger off white head... a thin layer lasts throughout... very nice citrus hop aromas fill the nose along with an underlying sweet malt base... medium creamy body with more bitterness and caramel malts... some light roast underneath, while the dry hopping really shines... bitter finish with some light chocolate notes. a very unique Porter and really enjoyable for the hop fan...

Tap at Dunedin Brewery. Poured a clear, deep amber with a thin beige head. Nose is roasted with notes of chocolate, coffee, and citrus hops. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is roasted with notes of chocolate and coffee with light bitterness. Finishes mildly bitter.

$10-sixer Nice looking ruby-colored porter with light head. The dry-hopped elements come through powerfully, but there is just enough sweetness to offset the considerable dryness. I would recommend to anybody looking for a dry, complex porter.
