A little dry and grassy toward the end with a subtle citrus fruit flavor. Middle of the road brew; not great, but I’d have another if one came my way. williamherbert (610), Syracuse, New York, USA

Clear and shiny deep red. Head shrinks down fast, leaves crater-like top layer. Lighyt pushes on through. Good icicle-lace.
Wow. Excellent smell for a red. Perfect hop/malt balance. Both bitters duke it out, punch for punch. Bitter German malt, bitter woody hops.
Excellent hoppy taste with a nice sharp malt undercurrent. The hops are the best, strong balance you could possibly find for this malt. They go together so well. Really delicious.
Kind of dry. Leaves a coating on the tongue. Very good, very bitter red brew. A hoppy red, what a great trend. Delish. MikeF (538), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Pour is maybe the most gorgeous red I’ve ever seen. I sold this brew short the last time for sure, although I kinda want to fuck it more than I want to drink it. jimmay (303), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Huge caramel malt and hop aroma, similar taste, lots of alcohol present. This is a Big American style beer! andyhwcinc (75), Illinois, USA

I was blown away by the caramel / malt taste, almost thought I couldnt finish it but got better after every sip. Also, rather strong. Good but probably will not go back to this. Absolutely beautiful slightly hazy reddish-brown pour with a foamy, persistent white head. Lots of cascade hops, piney, grapefruit, and a lot of grass. Taste is is very well balanced between the hops and the caramel malt sweetness. This tastes like liquid grass. Very smooth palate. Very good beer. johnnyoski (178), Macomb, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2010 22oz bottle. Pours hazy, copper color with a frothy off white head. Malty, woodsy aroma with some citrus tones. Initial sweet malty flavor with a little bit of caramel before being met with an alcohol bite. Surprisingly smooths out with a big malty finish and an earthy, grassy lingering flavor. Dry texture with average carbonation. A nice sipper on a cold Winter night.
