Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

Bottled 33cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. A lot of coriander, hazelnuts, walnuts, faint juniper and yeast in the nose. Belgian yeast and coriander are rather present in the taste.

Had on draft at Eulogy in Philly, it is called Eulogy Busty Blonde at the restaurant. Pours a cloudy orangish, with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet with hints of clove, ginger, nuts and coriander. Taste is sweet, this dominates the beer. Very nice mouthfeel, very light. A nice beer.

5th October 2008. Cloudy amber beer - doesn’t look like a blonde! Slightly tart start leads to a dry but creamy mid. A little caraway in there as well. Easy drinking.

33cl bottle, different from the one in the picture (stumpy bottle, also says ’’La Binchoise Blonde’’, but without "Tradtion"). ABV is 6.2 %. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden yellow with a frothy, big white head. Excellent retention, sublime lacing. Spicy, citrusy aroma, with yeast well in evidence. As with so many Belgian beers, aniseed on the nose is not far off. Thick but earthy mouth feel, medium-bodied Belgian ale. Fairly active carbonation. History repeats itself: Just as the "bruin" variant, the blonde is impressively herbaceous and, equally impressively, non-sweet! Herbal spices dominate, with a note of mealy apples on top. Finish is dry and sour, after taste short and unobtrusive. With its mix of bitter and sour notes, this almost feels like a Dutch hefeweizen. Interesting! Very good session Belgian ale (if such a beer exists), extremely well balanced, the slightly elevated alcoholic volume perfectly concealed by the bitter-/sourness. I’ll have another one!

330mL bottle - pours a beautiful clear golden yellow with a sizable white head. Lots of citrus in the nose, as well as orange. Flavour is accordingly similar, with a nice spiciness. Dry, crisp finish. Very nice.
