| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2010 Pours a hazy golden color. Huge fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma is banana and Belgian yeast. Up front, the flavor has a candy-like sweetness similar to the marshmallow circus peanuts we ate as kids. It quickly mellows to some more tropical fruit (banana and passion fruit) flavors with more Belgian yeast. Full-bodied mouthfeel, but smooth. Nice beer. dagimp (171), Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 15, 2010 From a 750 ml bottle into a water glass. Pours a hazy blond with a TON of fizzy head. Head lasts five or ten minutes and leaves gobs of lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is actually kind of thin. Aroma is very clovey and spicey. Taste is about the same with lots of spice and spicey too. It really tastes like it was brewed with brett but I can’t find that in the description. Not too bad but nothing special; a little too biting for me. matthewjk (121), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2010 $7.99 / 25.4 ounce bottle - No disrespect Brooklyn (as if you care), but this is suspect. First of all, despite my efforts to pour the slowest beer around, this damn beer produced such a huge cumulonimbus head that it took five minutes for the clouds to clear! When the storm passed, I was assaulted with a lackluster Belgian with sour, bitter notes. I will weather the storm and finish the bottle, but not very happy about it. mcberko (313), British Columbia, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2010 Bottle purchased and enjoyed during Mardi Gras 2010 in New Orleans! Slightly hazy yellow pour, plenty of carbonation and a nice honey aroma. Flavor was also honey, pepper, strong malt backbone and finished with a tiny bit of alcohol. Tasty and very enjoyable! womencantsail (536), San Dimas, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2010 A: A cloudy pale golden color with a very fluffy white head.
S: Banana, clove, yeast, mild hops.
T: A honey like sweetness, ester fruitiness, cloves, a nice hoppy finish that is mildly bitter. The yeast flavor is not as present as is typical for Belgian yeast strains.
M: Nice dry mouthfeel, quite solid in terms of body.
D: A very different beer, good flavors and mouthfeel. Glad to have tried this one. evr1dr (29), Virginia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2010 750ml bottle. Pours a hazy, orange-gold colored body with an inch thick, very foamy, pure white head that dissipates slowly, leaving a veil of lacing on the surface and glass throughout the session. Aroma is sweet and complex. Delicate, medium-sweet malts, fresh pepper, dusty and gentle Belgian yeast spiciness, banana esters, lemon-grass and citrus hops, candy sugar, and clove. Flavor is nice, but maybe a bit jumbled at times. Medium-sweet malts with a light bread and a lot more yeast that is much spicier than the aroma. I like the spiciness of it though. More pepper, estery bananas, a good amount of grassy hops, lemon, pineapple, and other soft spices. A light, malty sweetness comes back in the end as this finishes spicy and dry with a noticable alcohol heat and a light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste after a lighter body and higher amount of soft, lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty cool beer. I liked the complexity of the aroma a little more than the flavor, but it had a really enjoyable, unique yeast spiciness. A very vibrant strong ale.
