Absolutely no reason to drink this beer, even when you are in Chile. No nose. Appearance light straw color with visible carbonation but surprisingly small head. Mouth feel of water. A little floral hop, no malt taste, and a nasty bitter metalic aftertaste. I’m sorry my review raised the average slightly ... it really is a bad beer.

Jan 2, 2010 Well... this is what it is. Bottled. Watery feel and taste. At least it doesn’t have an offensive taste (ala bud light, bud light lime, or bud). Should only be had in desperate situations or out of curiosity.

Nov 6, 2009 I had a few of these beers on my trip to Chile. The beer had a light gold color with a smaller white head with modest features. Its aroma was some grassy hops and a bit of barley malt, nothing distinguishing. A decent lightly bitter flavor with some light hops. The beer was on the thinner side, a bit watery and wet and had low carbonation. Nothing too exciting about the beer, but it was decent and cheap.

Nov 4, 2009 Ah it seems they’ve changed the packaging a little. Now my liter bottle has a pry-off cap instead of a plastic screw off one. Bottle says 4.6%. Super pale. Cleaner than escudo, much less garbage. Lighter too, but that’s mainly probably just the lower alcohol.

Aug 24, 2009 Bottle. It’s yellow, it’s white, it’s beery, it’s industrially bad. Indistinguishable from Escudo except in price.

Jan 9, 2009 Bottled, 355ml?, pasteurised, from Mel, cheers. Pale gold with white head. Hard to distinguish from many Pale lagers, thin and corny, a little sulpherous on the nose, sweetish. Not the worst, but nothing that makes it drinkable either.

Nov 20, 2008 Good head, nice color, but that’s all. No taste, no aroma. I guess that’s why the recommendation it to drink it really cold. Otherwise you realize there’s nothing to enjoy. It’s only good for thirst and for a hot day.

Jun 3, 2008 This is about the seventh beer I have tried from around the world that was called Cristal, the previous ones weren’t anything outstanding and this one is no different.
