| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2008 On tap at pub. Lighter golden with smaller white head and slightly syrupy body. Slight grassy/buttery scents almost like a chardonnay....hmmm... Apricots, cherries and a sticky sweet body touched with cereals and sugars. Decent example of the style, hides the alcohol well. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Pours straw pale and hazy. Nose is watermelon, apple, sundry other fruit. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy but small and timid. Tastes playful, yeasty, fruity, sweetish and surprisingly light. Clean. Alcohol is playing hide and seek and winning. Looking forward to another! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Various citrus fruit and plantanes lace the bready yeast in an enjoyably soft and pillowy flavor profile. This is a simple but pleasant Americanized take on the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thick sheet of foam covers the cloudy yellow blond.
-The creamy, delicate carbonation works hand in hand with the flavor profile.
-The sweetish front benefits from a wise herbal hop support.
-Alcohol never shows.
-The timid aroma is disappointing.
-Guanabana and starfruit come to mind...I’m having fun with this one, can you tell?
On tap at the brewpub.
