Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Pours a deep red with a great head and lace. The aroma is grapefruit and melon with some roasty and caramel malty notes. The flavor is bracingly bitter with plenty of grapefruit, some caramel, and lots of earthy notes. Some brighter fruity citrus character hangs out in the back ground. Reminds me a bit of bigfoot.

22oz bottle split with a friend. This poured a ruby red with a rocky white head on top. The smell was really hoppy and a little sweet. The taste was hops, hops, hops. Also some raisin flavor and caramel. Overall this was excellent. The first bottle I had must have been infected because it tasted like barnyard funk. This bottle was excellent. Bottle, 65cl - Semi hazy amber red beer with a small head. Aroma is malty with notes of ripe fruit, pineapple and spices. Flavor is very malty with notes of ripe fruit, dusty almost hops and spices. Highly enjoyable barley wine.

Tap at Petrol Station Houston. Dark brown and filtered. Sweet and bitter with a generous hop profile. Alcohol is upfront but this is a very smooth and drinkable barleywine. Dangerous.

Draft at Southpark Tavern. A hop bomb of a barleywine. Aromas of fresh hops and malt, the pour is amber and clear. But what makes this a bw to remember is the hops, glorious hops. A bw with 100 ibu’s!! The flavors consist of malt, fruit, hops and spice. This big beer hides all traces of alcohol making it sweet yet hoppy, a complex beer and one to truly savor and enjoy.

Bottle (bomber) from Systembolaget. Clear copper, medium off-white head. Fruity and caramelly with piney hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Well balanced, with a lingering bitterness. Very good.

Aroma is full of richness... Candy sugar , thick caramel, toffee, buttery toast, and citrus. Flavors are similar to aroma, chewy, and good. Full, mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. A winner!

Draught at Southpark Tavern, Dayton, OH. Deep amber color. Aroma was massive citrus and floral hops. Is this a barleywine or a IIPA? Taste was more hops, but on the back end was balanced nicely by some sweet malts. Finish was hoppy bitterness. An overall subtle complexity, but an excellent beer that I really enjoyed.
