Good malty aroma (surely maris malt) with some proper floral hops. Smooth mouthfeel, the malt palate is a bit light, with a touch of sweetness. Moderate bitterness in the peppery hop finish. Enjoyable quaffer.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2008 Gold, very slightly hazy, with a white head. My first reaction to the aroma was ’fruity homebrew’, however a pleasant citric edge developed which was also present in the taste, together with the very slightest sweetness and some soapiness. Thenceforward it was all dry and hoppy. renffisch (564), london, Greater London, England
